The Importance of Proper Screening Practices

I closed on it without looking at all these down units. There are about 18 of them. And they didn't pay rent shockingly. So we went through the eviction process, and well, now you've got to make ready all those down units. That's all not good screening practices. We found the bed bugs in the due diligence, but we didn't know how extensive it was. It took about a year and a half, maybe two years, I don't quite remember, but I paid them all back plus 14% out of my own pocket.
