A Woman's Desire

Walter didn't think much of the woman missing from his train platform. He was shy himself and hadn't married, that in itself would demonstrate a lagging sense of forwardness. A certain sweetness of temperament was uppermost on his list as he scrawled it down for matchmakers. Walter hoped a woman wouldn't care that he was unfit or underemployed.
