The Importance of Music in Ancient Egypt
In 1939, a British army bandzman was given Tutankhamun's silver trumpet to play in front of a BBC microphone. The instrument is 3,300 years old and has not been played for that amount of time. For me it's also an image of how much we don't know about the ancient world. We can only imagine what this must have been used for in ancient Egypt but we will probably never know.
