The Big Other Doesn't Exist, Right?

At every school there's some kind of force of social authority, some kind of big other. You could imagine someone saying, like, oh, the big other doesn't exist. And you would know right away, like, that's a lie. What the point is, that this sense of social authority is not substantial. There's no subs there's no substance to it.
