How to Reduce Stress Around Grading
If it's too far away, if it's more than really four or five, six days away, a lot of times I'll tell myself it's okay to procrastinate. Once I have made the list number one, two, and three on the list, the first three things I'm going to grade are whatever on that list I think is going to be most difficult to grade. Everything else on the list is easy by comparison. So when I get that worst thing out of the way first, then my need toprocrastinate really fades away.
