The Whales and the Crill

David king, who heads the centre for climate repair at cambridge university is looking at doing just that. We are working on what we call marine biomas regeneration. And our big focus is on regenerating fish and whale populations in the ocean back to something like it was 400 years ago. By fertilizing the oceans with iron, we could stimulate phito plancton growth which would support a far bigger crill population that could in turn feed more whales. This extraordinary relationship offers us a way of repairing the terrible and widespread eco system damage we committed when obliterated so many of the world's whales.
