In second kings 18, we get this devastation in the countryside. And then starting in verse 17, he sends an initial group to surround jerusalem and keep anybody from going in or out cause they're the next siege. He's got a representative, a royal official called the rab shake, who goes to talk to the people in jerusalem. We know that that's actually an acadian that's the title of a royal official. It's like it means royal steward or something. You can just imagine what this is like for the people now, trapped inside the city,. Like the terror that you are next the last place to be attacked.
How is 2 Kings like the Book of Mormon? Dr. Joshua Sears explores how the Deuteronomistic History and the Book of Mormon are parallel in theme, language, and idea. We also discuss how the Ten Tribes became lost by forgetting they are covenant Israel.
