Brazil's Atlantic Rainforest

When the Portuguese colonizers arrived in Brazil over 500 years ago, the eastern coast of the country was covered by a great rainforest. It's not as famous because today only fragments remain, about 12% of what once existed. Nicolas Locke is half British, half Brazilian, and starting out with a farm that had been in his family for a century, he's created a huge conservation area. He and his wife, Haquiao, started the NGO, Hagua, in 2001.
