Influencer Culture in Infectious Epidemiology
Network analysis is thought about a lot in terms of infectious epidemiology, but we know that it has a huge role to play in even non infectious epidemiology. If you have a network and you're connected to more people with obesity, you've got a higher likelihood of having it yourself at some point. I used to smoke cigarettes for about like six years, seven years, and all my friends smoke cigarettes. And it wasn't really until I kind of like moved from, he grew up in Boston, but moved from Boston to Philadelphia where nobody's smoked and everybody was healthy. But if I never changed my friend circle, I'd still be smoking two tracks a day.
