Aquinas and the Angels

If angels exist they have no capacity for physical transmission of their nature because they're not animals but they do have a higher form of purely immaterial knowledge and love their magnificent contemplatives. According to Aquinas that's a disputed question but he thinks each angel is its own species so there's a different kind of metaphysical solidarity and metaphysical solitude the angels have vis-a-vis one another and vis-a.-vis us. The idea here then of complexity could be one which there emerges in some way historically and now moving into a kind of modern framework thinking.
