The Role of Aphasia in Stroke Recovery
When we hear difficulty speaking we're trying to figure out is this dysarthria sort of a mechanical problem of the mouth as you said or aphasia a language problem. And yeah it's hard if a patient has aphasia to the point of being unable to speak we can't easily assess the apparatus. The most important thing is to try to see if this was hyper acute and onset or acute in its development I think that almost no matter what though you're probably going to activate your stroke protocol given the fact that it's less than 24 hours but practically speaking I may it might make a minute take a minute or two to see if I can establish to the patient's friend or what
