Alton Brown Sr.

Alton Brown was not the first person to bring food science to the masses. Alton calls Harold McGee's book "the Rosetta Stone of the culinary world" His father owned a radio station and a newspaper in the sparsely populated mountains of North Georgia. He killed himself when little Alton was 11 years older thereabouts.
