The Intensity of Heat Waves
The intensity of heat waves recently has been shocking to me. It is now common to have fires spreading at rates of more than a football field per second for 24 hours in a row. And so when you hear people on the radio on t v saying, i've fought fires for my entire career, and i've never seen fire activity like were seeing this year, it is because fire is responding to climate change in a non linear way.
