The Importance of Music in Alzheimer's
Bishop of Litreville Keith Sutton's wife was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's when she was in her 50s. He kept her at home, he had day and night carers come in, he carried on his job as a busy Bishop to spend time with her. Even though Jeannie didn't even know who he was they would sometimes watch the television program together where people were singing hymns. The music just brought out something which was still there - you mightn't have guessed it until that happened.
