I Have a Life and It Goes in Only One Direction

In 1947 the United States had signed the Rio Treaty with 20 different Latin American nations. The treaty was a mutual defense pact meant on paper to provide a unified hemispheric front against like a foreign invasion this was all window dressing and everything to do with maintenance of US political dominance in the region and control over raw materials. In 1946 the army established a new training school for foreign soldiers in the Panama Canal Zone which is still under US control. It's also sort of a fulfillment of Woodrow Wilson's dream the United States being able to act as a police force for Latin America to ensure good governance.
