Is Volume Support a Good Mode for Patients With Low Compliance?
You could conceivably get very high transpulmonary pressures on a volume. This is not a good mode for someone with ar das the rigt cause of their low compliance. You watch their pressures as they improve, as the compliance goes down. And so you may watch, maybe the first day it takes 25. The're 25. Two days later, you've taken five leaters afluit off, and now it only takes 15. Yet you are not setting a respiritory rate. That's the big difference between this and the first mode we talked about, the adapt of pressure control. But you are letting the patients at the rest, that'm right?
