In Catalan areas the Kaganae is a common and much loved figure. But how did a pooping figure become a Christmas icon? The Kaganae started appearing in Nativity scenes hundreds of years ago. When Barcelona decided to not include him in their Nativity scene a few years ago, local people were angry and successfully had him return a year later.
