Mortals by Noren Rush
Noren Rush's second novel, Mortals, kind of like pushes all of this to a sort of extreme degree that I find kind of interesting. And then the relationship in Mortals feels like the most maximally dystopian version of the relationship in mating where there is only this kind of like claustrophobic dyad. But it's flipped. He's like totally obsessed with her and she is like distant from him. Anyway, but I feel like it like dials up all these things in mating to a kind of extreme level, which makes it less fun to read.
