The Transition From Four Hours to Seasonal Storage

No amount of four-hour batteries, or at least not without wasting them for most of the year, long question, will be enough. If you see even modest amounts of electrification of heating, we could see much of the US flip over to a winter peak. That is concerning because we in the US have world-class solar resources. Outside of Chile and a few other places, our solar resources are just fantastic,. but they tend not to be that great in the winter.
