Today you'll meet Carol Petersen, who is a compounding pharmacist with decades of experience helping patients improve their quality of life through bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Yes, decades…even when they weren't fashionable.

Carol graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and is also a Certified Nutritional Practitioner. She shares her passion of optimizing health with organizations such as the International College of Integrated Medicine and the American College of Apothecaries, the American Pharmacists Association and the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding. She was also founder and first chair for the Compounding Special Interest Group with the American Pharmacists Association. She serves as chair for the Integrated Medicine Consortium. She also interestingly enough co-hosts a radio program called "Take Charge of your Health" which airs in the greater New York area. She also is on the Medical Advisory Board for the Centre for Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation Research.

Carol has been in this world for a long time and has attended 100's of complementary medicine conferences, reading and researching staggering numbers of books and scientific papers, all while co owning an alternative medicine practice, and in practice with a compounding pharmacy specializing in bio-identical hormone therapies.
