Is There an Individual Subject Without an Experiencer?
Bernardo: Our idea of a personal individual self is a narrative constructed with words, and its ultimately an illusion that we end up believing in. I don't think it is coherent to talk about experience or qualia without that to which the qualia are given. Thisis definitely a fundamental disagreement. You say to the experiencer, your youre, by definition, adding something. Its a linguid an how we use the work. We can talk about qualia self as being private qualityof itself but i'm idonto me, it's an additional piece to talk about some external thing that the experience is appearing to. It's not external. So the fact that there is experience entails
