The lie they came up with is that they couldn't confirm the laptop was not hacked. Do you know what else you can't confirm wasn't hacked? Pretty much everything. There's lots of things you can't confirmed. It doesn't make it not news. So yes, we literally don't have a way to confirm that that wasn't hacked. And I guess that's technically true.
