I Like This Movie Already, So Now I'm Defending It

The villain doesn't reveal anything about tony stark. He's already fully actualized as a hero before his conflicts with that villain, because he already has gone back to afghanistan and killed a bunch of terrorists. By the end of act two, he's just tinkering with being ironman. There's not really a clear goal for him. His ark kind of completes very early on. And so by defeating oba stain, he gains control over himself. That actually happens when the the suits that he's building for good, the iron man suit, gets perverted and weaponized into thing for evil.
