i think people are so invested in their world view, because your world view is the thing t a you construct over the course of your life to ik make sense of the world and to feel somewhat comfortable amongst the chaos. And when something comes along that represents, possibly represents a fairly profound paratise shift, then our understanding of the world changes as well. So i think it's reveald its concealing such an underlying insecurity that they hold on to it so tightly. This is part of the reason why they reject anything that would threaten to dramatically upgrade it or change it, or require a changing of it. I'm speaking in absolute terms.
