Breakfast serial industrialists like james caleb jackson and john kellogg probably did not originate the phrase in question, as is commonly claimed. The most compe case i've ever seen for the origin of that phrase points to a dietician named lena cooper who wrote the actual words "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" A massive 20 21 meta analysis out of china looked at whether regular breakfast eaters have less cardio vascular and metabolic diseases. And the answer they got was, ye, they do, at least a little bit.
