The Origins of the Ocekkkoye Tradition
Even the most celebrated writers of the Ocekkkoye tradition, such as Ella Deloria, who as you point out in this book published her nonfiction pieces, I think it was like Dakota texts. And even you talk about Charles Eastman as heavily being being heavily influenced by his grandmother,. He calls it, um, Chida, which is like grandmother in Dakota. Um, and what I found while doing some of this research is that he actually used that quote first Dakota library to learn how to read and write.
