A Poem About a Snake

A shepherd goes out in the morning to take his flocks to pasture. A giant, horrible snake slithers up and decides it's going to bite the shepherd in his sleep and kill him. Just before the snake attacks, a gnat buzzes down and stings the shepherd on the eye. And this wakes him up just in time to see the snake and to save himself. So he beats the snake to death with a piece of wood,. which i would say, in reality, is almost never necessary.
