The Importance of Nationalism in the Revolution
As a democratic socialist he thought that patriotism could actually form the basis of a revolution. There could be a revolutionary patriotism and he thinks nationalism is quite the opposite. It is the mechanism by which the revolution is betrayed. So what he saw so he was just to get into a little bit of the biography. He went to Spain to fight in the Spanish Civil War on behalf of, so there was a communist Spanish government at the time.
