Is AWS Hidden in Plain Sight?
An article that I was reading in Corey's newsletter called it, you know, AWS is hidden anti-competitive move. He says if you are building software that could be used on one of the cloud providers, so in this case, Amazon. In order for customers to use that in the best way possible, they are likely going to want to build high availability into it. And once you start building high availabilityinto it, you most likely will have to use multiple regions and/or Availability Zones. The cost of doing that goes up becauseAmazon not only charges the customer or the user for the compute of it, but they charge you for inter-region networking costs.
