How to Mix Live Drums
I don't really know how to mix live drums particularly well before this record it was quite scary when you get like 20 stems of like overhead left right this and that. Sometimes you get a punchier sound if there are less mics yeah because it's kind of more of like a mono sound. The kick is there but it's mainly the attack not the fundamental note so then the kick mic then is to kind of supplementing that. I've just gone over to Ivon and just slammed it the distortion is bringing out the kick that's true.
