The Media Contagion Effect in the States
The media changed how they covered suicides in response to the fact that there was strong contagion effects. It has been now studied that we see similar contagion effects with respect to these mass killings. The media contagion effect has had an impact in the States and a substantial one. But I think that part of the way of dealing with that is having a more responsible way of covering those things in the same way that they have a moreresponsible way of covering suicides.
