I began to tap into some of the collective traumas of our time. I felt that when Columbine High School happened and prior to 9-11, and I began to paint in response to that. My children grew up as ground zero children. And so through these brokenness and fractures and my life, and there's still a hairline fractures that I keep discovering in myself. So it's not over.
