Is There a Gap Between Epistemology and Politics?

There's just so much of it. Once you start taking in information and encountering information on that scale, it becomes much more difficult to be epistemically responsible. And so for a study like that, what's happening is you're consuming all this information about what your political opponents believe  and how bad their motives must be because no good and reasonable person could sincerely believe something like that.
