It is simple to raise Social Security payments, all that is required is a political will to do so. Accredited inquiry into poverty was told in February by Kavitha Sivasami from Economic Justice Australia and Canberra Community Law. Food banks are giving governments ways to make it seem like they're doing things to help poor people when in reality it's just sort of perpetuating the non-profit industrial complex. The situation becomes one in which good food is only accessible to those who can afford it.
