The Balance Between Fulfillment and Ambition
I think to me it's been this constant sort of never an inquest to find a balance between both fulfillment and ambition. I mean, I certainly know a lot of great musicians who write songs and never release them. Emily Dickinson being sort of the poster child for that. Nobody read her poetry in her lifetime that we know of or if they did a few people. She was not widely known. It seemed to satisfy her just to write it, but she still wrote it. So this other category is okay, am I going to do it? Am I going to work towards this ambition because it pleases me and it's fulfilling to me?"
