The Legacy of Xi Jinping

The United States has had a stake in the future of Taiwan and seeing it not become communist as we thought about then in the 1950s. But I think that if Xi Jinping believes that trying to achieve reunification could end up undermining the ability of China to actually achieve national rejuvenation, he'll think twice about it. We want to make sure every day Xi Jinping wakes up and says today is not the day because the risks the costs are too high.
