Bob Hurley and his sons left Can Dui to go do, you know, something different. John Johns wrote the mission statement in like two seconds. He equated stretchy is what ends up happening over time until a short that feels thinner wafers apart. And so the goal from the team was to build something that actually wasn't going to fall apart.
