The high costs of war that are not paid by the politicians, simply just look at these as great opportunities to extend their power. What often goes missing what Papuken gets into is that empires are frequently destroyed by war. The only attack on Dresden was considered a military necessity by more important people than myself so it wasn't just the British side but it also had American and Churchill's role in adopting barbarism which earlier generations would have recoiled in disgust during World War One.
