Roxanne Jones: rankin is a trail blazer at a very, very young age. She's pushing for women suffrage, pushing for woman's right to vote. And then she decides to run for congress and serve in the house from 19 17 to 19 19. At that time, she also votes against involvement in world war one.Jones: Her vote in particular gets cast through gender, gendered lenses. But it was something that rankin herself really believed, and something that she brings to the congress.
