The Digital Revolution and the Future of Cinematography
When he was a younger director, I was afraid to work with more experienced cinematographers because I didn't want them steamrolling over me. And so at that time period, I'm going to be dealing with like these old 35 millimeter crusty new England cinematographers that really don't want to put the time in with a young kid. So I should teach myself how to do this stuff. Then I jumped into the digital revolution and it ended up creating a career for me for a little period of time. It's dangerous to lean as hard as you are on the cinematographer because they can take it from you, you know?
