The Limitations of Group Favoritism

In-group favoritism with the minimal group paradigm is mostly restricted to allocations of positive resources and evaluations regarding positive traits. People might be more willing to allocate monetary payments to their own group, even if that group is novel or arbitrary. But studies don't reliably show people to be willing to dolet punishments or disparagements against a novel arbitrary out-group.
