An echo revealed diastolic collapse of the right atrium and the RV free wall. The most common causes of pericardial fusions with high incidence of progression to tamponade include bacterial, fungal and HIV associated infections,. bleeding such as in the case of a hemopericardium, post-cardiac procedure and malignancy.
