The british royal family is a budget item for the national government. They receive many benefits from the people as members of the community who are almost entirely supported by the community. The church, at least here in the us,. Is subsidized by the government in the form of being taxed exempt. Which is great on one hand, because it saves the church from contributing to projects they find morally suspect. But it isas ly mishandled, as we have seen time and time again, because of the ways these institutions are beholden to the government.
