The Role of Postural Instability in Parkinsonism

Once Parkinsonism is identified, the next step is to determine whether the Parkinsonism is due to PD or other causes like Parkinson's plus syndromes. Any antipsychotic medications, less commonly anti-emetics, if they're used chronically can cause Parkinsonism and other movement disorders. And so sometimes what we see is that even if we take patients off of their dopamine blockade, they still progress.
