The four condemned men were ushered from their cells on Sing Sing's death row and placed in pre execution cells a dozen pieces from the death chamber's door. There was then an appeals process, which lasted for five months and during the appeals process, they came within a few hours of execution three times. But ultimately, they were scheduled to be executed on the night of Thursday, June 7th, 1934.
