The Winter's Tale

The winter's tale, i believe, gets its name from the idea that you may be in your house in winterand you'd need a story to pass the time. I think speare's audience would have known going into a play called the winter's tale,. that it might be a little fanciful, not not shallow per se, but not a, like, deep, serious tragedy. And maybe might be aLittle magical or a little pastoral. We go to another location that is not at the king's court. It's out in a different place.
