She's a foil for Sherlock in this way where her sexuality is her, like, armor. For him, it's the exact opposite. They're both the same because they're both afraid. And they just do it in different ways in opposite ways. You're not necessarily going to be attracted to everybody you work with. It's just unfortunate that that's like the mainstream narrative that comes across.
