The Dutch Supreme Court's Decision on Climate Change

This is certainly a very exceptional case in many respects. It is a new issue that is affecting all countries at the same time. I expect that there will be some differences of few within the court. The Dutch Supreme Court followed Strasbourg jurisprudence and concluded that the Netherlands had to move more quickly to reduce emissions. So, if the Klima Senorinan lose, the Dutch government would effectively be being told, your citizens don't have a fundamental human right to be protected against climate change.
