In this day and age especially it's like how quickly can you get someone A excited about what you're doing and B understanding in the space of the headline what they can expect. I had a good chat with a friend of mine who was talking about putting out a small release recently and he was impressed with these people that he'd met in LA whose promotional idea for the record was really not going down the same tired route. "I have a bit of beef with you know PR departments and stuff like that kind of trying to just sort of basically blast an email out to all of the you know the regular people they'll charge you for whack regardless of what they get for you"
