The Two Principles of Character and Story
The two principles youare operating always with are revelation and change. And there's a fetish in in writing that all characters must change, we must chit, the somehow it ins a character art. That's nonsense. The vast majority of central characters do not change. What changes is our understanding of the character. We didn't klowe who they or we didn't know who the person was at the beginning, and at the end, we now understand a who they are. This one of my favourite things that i remember from your books was this idea. I try to tell people this, but i never do it articulately. I dont so please go on.
